« December 2004 | Main | February 2005 » UN Delivers Aid on Its Own
For the first time. Nearly 4 weeks later. Pathetic. By infidel cowboy · 01.24.05 09:47AM · Link · Comments (0) ·
Bush, the FMA, and the Dog That Didn't Bark
Remember the fevered cries from the Moonbat-based community after Bush was elected by a bunch of Jesus-landers who don't want gay marriages recognized? Remeber how he was beholden to them to get the Federal Marriage Amendment Act passed? As anyone with half a brain and/or a grain of intellectual integrity could have predicted based on his comments on the topic, Bush has no intentions of pursuing it. So lighten up, Francis. American Military in Action
Here is one story you won't be seeing links to from those military hating, all Abu Ghraib all the time, lefty moonbat sites. And to think it is brought to us by the French. Why am I not surprised to see them showing some degree of reflection and willingness to give credit where it is due before the aforementioned crowd? UN Relief Efforts Continue
Well, providing relief for their relief workers, who after all, have been holed up in 5 star hotels eating catered food while planning to assess and coordinate assessment and coordination efforts. Seen here, a cargo plane delivering not vital medicine and food supplies, but instead crucial luxury SUVs for the use of UN blood sucking ticks, er, relief workers. I guess it really is true that only the UN has the experience and moral authority for THIS type of relief effort. Thank God the US military is there to perform auxillary services - you know, little things like feeding the starving and providing medical care to the injured. Meanwhile, stingy Americans have privately contributed half a billion dollars to go with the $350 million provided by the US government (not counting the cost of having 20 naval ships and thousands of crew and the value of their labor.) Even the MSM Sees the Writing on the Wall for the MSM
Howard Fineman, on the death of American Mainstream Media Party. Such a pity. Took him long enough to notice, but he is probably ahead of the curve compared to most MSM types. By infidel cowboy · 01.12.05 10:01AM · Link · Comments (0) ·
"No."
Sandy Bergler, nixing a plan to capture Bin Laden, per handwritten notation on one of the documents he stuffed down his shorts. Some other pilifered papers included documents stating that a millenium terror attack on the US was thwarted by pure luck, and not by administrative vigilance, as claimed by Mr. Berger in his testimony before the 9/11 commission. The Memogate thing was loads of fun and exposed a serious problem in mainstream journalistic practices, but it seems unlikely that any laws were broken. This on the other hand, involves a former Security Director stealing Code Word documents (above Top Secret) from the National Archives to benefit either the Kerry campaign, to which Berger was an advisor, to hurt the Bush campaign by impugning its anti-terrorism efforts in testimony before the 9/11 commission, or to stave off embarrasment to himself and the Clinton administration. Or all three. Regardless of the motives, the actions constitute a serious felony and deserve a full investigation and prosecution. By infidel cowboy · 01.11.05 02:26PM · Link · Comments (0) ·
Ding, Dong, Dan is Done
The Memogate report has been released. It can be found here in PDF form. Dan Blather pre-emptively announced a face saving retirement before the report was release. Now, other heads are rolling. Most prmoinently and appropriately, Mary Mapes is toast. Jim Geraghty at TKS has a pretty good summary and analysis of the report going. By infidel cowboy · 01.10.05 10:59AM · Link · Comments (1) ·
Hitchens Kicking Ass, Taking Names
Football Fans for Truth? has put together one of those NFL Films type "Greatest Hits" montages, except it is Christopher Hitchens instead of guys in helmets and pads delivering the blows. Read it for yourself. Hat tip to Bill at INDC Journal. By infidel cowboy · 01.06.05 03:33PM · Link · Comments (0) ·
The UN Springs Into (In)Action
We must coordinate the coordinators!! Meet to schedule meetings!! Assess the assessors' assessments!! Right after brunch!! Read all about it at the best blog covering the UN, Diplomad, which has been added to the blogroll. Great stuff, just keep reading. Meanwhile, the heavy lifters are, well, doing the heavy lifting. Minuteman Zarqawi Busted?
There have been false alarms before, I know, but Drudge has a link to a story claiming that Michael Moore's hero minuteman has been arrested. Update: looks like another false alarm. Michael Moore will be relieved, I am sure. By infidel cowboy · 01.04.05 09:02AM · Link · Comments (0) ·
CBS New Year Resolution
To become fair and balanced! Better late than never, I suppose. Let the fence-mending begin. According to a Broadcasting & Cable source in Washington, D.C., CBS News president Andrew Heyward, along with Washington bureau chief Janet Leissner, recently met with White House communications director Dan Bartlett, in part to repair chilly relations with the Bush administration. Actions Speak Louder Than Words
While the nattering nabobs of negativity were busy harangueing Bush for not getting himself in front of a camera soon enough, he was busy coordinating the US response to the disaster. And unlike his incredibly petty critics, he is putting politics aside to get things done. Actions speak louder than words. Something the most unfair and vociferous critics of President Bush may someday learn, but I won't hold my breath. By infidel cowboy · 01.03.05 10:25AM · Link · Comments (1) ·
Jan Egeland Wises Up
Will other looney lefty Bush haters so quick to condemn the US relief efforts do likewise? Some of the most ascinine criticism I have heard to date is that flippantly discounting the value of the US sending military assets to assist with the relief efforts. At least Jan Egeland shows he isn't a complete cluetard: Militaries from several countries, including the United States, Indonesia and Japan, have pitched in, because they have the equipment and training to operate in isolated areas. Stingy Americans? Hardly, Corrupt Eurotrash? Clealy.
Stingy? Daniel Drezner lays out the facts and he has the resume to indicate he knows what he is talking about. Now what about the corrupt Eurotrash UN weasels? Time to meet the Toyota Taliban. More here. By infidel cowboy · 01.02.05 05:53PM · Link · Comments (1) ·
